Rushdie tweets poem on Kim K's brief marriage

"Satanic Verses" novelist Salman Rushdie has turned satiric in a series of Twitter feeds about the doomed marriage of reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

Kardashian announced this week she was filing for divorce from professional basketball player Kris Humphries after 72 days.

Kardashian's mom says 'wedding wasn't a sham'

Rushdie tweeted late Tuesday:

"The marriage of poor kim #kardashian was krushed like a kar in a krashian"

"her kris kried, not fair! why kan't I keep my share?"

"But kardashian fell klean outa fashian."

Kardashian says, 'I'd never marry for money'

Rushdie tweeted on @SalmanRushdie his inspiration was that he was challenged and he "Can't resist a challenge."

Kardashian has apologized to fans for her failed marriage. She says she plans to donate the gifts from the couple's $172,000 wedding registry to the Dream Foundation, which helps adults facing life-threatening illnesses.
