According to the article, the typical cost for a home removal is $1,500, $1,000 of which can be provided by the grant. However, individuals who meet income criteria are eligible for the full amount. Between February 2012 and February 2011, 25 homes were removed. An RFP to provide the home removal for the current year is posted on the Henderson County web site.
